Losing It by Cora Carmack

Hello!
*FYI, I said that in a Marcus Butler accent*

Today I'm back with my first book review.
The novel I chose to review is "Losing It" by Cora Carmack. I read it a couple of days ago so my thoughts and feelings about it are still fresh and I thought, why not?

I am a person that hates giving stars to books as a way of reviewing them. Well I do it it anyway, but if you want to know my honest opinions and thoughts on a book, I'd advise you to read my reviews.

Now into the actual review;

Before I go more in depth on my thoughts on this, I believe it is right to state that this is a Contemporary New Adult novel which, based off Goodreads and Wikipedia, covers subjects that fall in between Young Adult and Adult Fiction. This means that swearing as well as intimate scenes etc, will be featured in the book. At least this is what I believe New Adult is.

So, I picked up Losing It, because it seemed like a fun book and it is quite small. 200 pages can be read in one sit. And this is what happened with me. Now, it wasn't the "Oh my God, I can't put this book down. It's so captivating." but it went something like this "It's not awful and I've got nothing else to do, so why not finish it?".

Update: Guess who's back?

Goodness Gracious Me, haven't I been neglecting my blog?

Well, the answer to that is definitely yes.
Why?
The enthusiasm after a couple of days passed and I didn't know how to "work" in this online world, and how to get peoples attention.
Untill yesterday. I was sitting on my bed and thought; "To hell, everyone starts from zero and then they eventually grow. Why not keep up with is?"

So here I am. Talking to myself -obviously- and planning futures posts.

I'm so annoyed right now by the blog settings and the template customize thingy. But that might not be the only reason why I'm annoyed.
It's freaking hot here in Greece, and I want to go to the beach.
Unfortunately, I'm here contemplating how I should cope with this.
Wish me luck, none existing people.
See you very soon, on my next "serious" post.
A book review probably.

Ciao,
Sophia.

Vampire Academy Movie News #1: Casting Rose, Dimitri and Lisa

Hello!

I thought I'd make my very first blog post, Vampire Academy related, so my blog can have a wonderful beginning. But before getting into the nitty-gritty stuff, I believe, it is wise to talk a little bit about it and introduce it to you, in case you haven't come across this book series. To be honest, I hope you have, since it's my favourite book series of all times.

Vampire Academy is a Young Adult (YA) Paranormal Romance series, as Wikipedia says, written by the amazing Richelle Mead, and it consists of six novels. The books in order are: Vampire Academy, Frostbite, Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound and Last Sacrifice.

The story revolves around Rose Hathaway, a seventeen -to be eighteen- year old Dhampir girl and her Moroi best friend Lissa Dragomir, after they've been brought back to "St Vladimir's Academy", the school they were attending before escaping and being on the run for two years. With their return to the school, nothing will be the same again. Rose gets caught in a forbidden romance while having this mysterious bond with Lissa where she's able to read her mind and feelings. The two best friends encounter obstacles and try to get from here to there. Will Rose and Lissa survive another year of High School at St Vladimir's, or is it too dangerous for both of them?                                                                                                                     Romance. Friendship. Intrigues. Adventure. Lies. Love. Blood.
Maybe, after all, going back to the Academy was worse than Rose could ever imagine...
